Questions people ask

Does the estimate include the permit?

The base ranges include the permit fee for a typical job. City fees differ, so check your city page for the fee schedule. Utility-side work such as a new meter socket can be billed separately by the utility.

What counts as a hard job?

A meter move, a new service wire, trenching across a yard, stucco repair or a long run from the meter to the panel. These push the range toward the upper end shown for hard jobs.

Is this a quote?

The tool adds published ranges and does not know your wiring, meter or utility.
